Among the third qualifying round ties, FC Dynamo Kyiv play Feyenoord, FC København meet Club Brugge KV, Motherwell FC take on Panathinaikos FC and Celtic FC will likely face HJK Helsinki.
The UEFA Champions League third qualifying round draw, made in Nyon on Friday, has pitted FC Dynamo Kyiv against 1970 European Champion Clubs' Cup winners Feyenoord.
The Dutch side will be looking for revenge for the 2002/03 UEFA Champions League first group stage, when they held Dynamo 0-0 in Rotterdam but succumbed to a 2-0 defeat in the Ukrainian capital.
The team Feyenoord beat in the European Cup final 42 years ago, Celtic FC, will face either HJK Helsinki or KR Reykjavík in their bid to reach the play-offs. HJK, 7-0 up from the first leg of their second qualifying round tie against KR, were beaten in extra time by the Glasgow side in the first round of the 2000/01 UEFA Cup group stage.
FC Basel 1893, who saw off Manchester United FC in last season's UEFA Champions League group stage, are also well placed to reach the third qualifying round after a 2-0 win against FC Flora Tallinn of Estonia. Their reward, should they complete the job, is likely to be against Molde FK – 3-0 up against FK Ventspils – who are managed by former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
The ties will be played on 31 July/1 August and 7/8 August. The losing sides will go onto the UEFA Europa League play-offs while the winners will compete for a place in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
